model training

We are a boutique style agency, meaning we focus on quality versus quantity. Therefore, we do not often have places available for new models to join our roster. However, we do offer model training to both our own models and the general public. Taking model training does not guarantee your placement within the agency. Rather, we've developed courses to help you in case you end up freelancing, or working with other agencies.

Fees
A drop in charge of L$250 per class will apply to the general public, to cover instruction costs. At the moment, model training will not result in a diploma or formal recognition for non-agency models. However, the training structure may become more rigid in the future.

Classes

Your appearance Learn about creating an attractive and proportionate body shape, choosing skins, hair, and eyes, and being beautiful yet unique in a virtual world.

Professionalism Learn a Code of Conduct that will help you become known as a professional and reliable model. We'll also cover setting up an AO for your everyday use, how to dress, and what basic items any model should have in their inventory.

The runway An intensive class that quickly moves from the classroom to the runway for practice. We'll start with how to deal with omnipresent SL lag, then choosing poses and walks, and show preparation. Then we'll learn some basic choreography and try it out on the ramp.

The camera Learn about modelling for a photographer, choosing poses, and taking your own snapshots in world.

Your portfolio Here we'll browse successful Metro model portfolios, talk about what makes a good portfolio, and how to choose photos for this invaluable marketing tool.

The business A workshop about networking, finding work, and the tips and resources you can use to further your career.

Workshops

Workshops are an informal way to "brush up" and practice, whether it's walking the runway or talking with other models about poses and inventory tips. Think of them as a drop-in session to chat about the industry, practice on the runway, or use the photo studio. Workshops are free to anyone who has completed a class.
